Spring into Color: Eyes that Pop

Spring is around the corner, & the best way to get ready is to pop into color! The winter months are filled with greys, neutrals, & deep berries/reds. Want to add a pop of color to your makeup look? You’re in the right place! Here are a few ways to add a pop of color to any makeup look:

Inner Corner Pop

Adding a pop of color, such as blues or yellows, can match the flowers that will soon sprout. It is an easy way to add a touch of color without overpowering the eyes. Get the look by using a small firm brush, flat or round both work, to apply the color of your choice to the inner corner. This is great for natural or soft glam looks to bring more attention to the eyes. It’s a subtle way to step out of your everyday routine! Try matching the inner corner color to your outfit for an overall color-coordinated look.

Lower Lash Drama

My absolute favorite way to add a pop of color to a look is taking a bright gel eyeliner to the lower lash-line area. The LA Girl Shockwave Eyeliner is perfect to bring a bold color to your lower-lash. The ‘Electric’ blue is definitely my go-to with a neutral cut crease to bring out the blue in my eye color. Using a colorful eyeshadow is another way to add color to the lower lash line. When applying eyeshadow to the lower-lash line, ensure you use a small flat or smudger brush for precision. Purple is universally great for all eye colors, including brown, to make the eyes pop! This is a great technique for neutral smokey eyes because it will add drama & attention to the eyes.

Monochromatic Eyes

Another way to add emphasis to the eyes is swiping a pop of color on the eyes. Whether you are only using a single green shade or adding it to a deep brown smokey eye, your eyes will be the attention of the look. Try swiping a pastel blue or purple paired with a sheer baby pink lip gloss for a throwback to Y2K makeup. This is a fun way to experiment with a new look while matching the soft pastels & colors that are reminiscent of Spring.
