Best Brushes on a Budget

I wanted to elaborate on our previous ‘Makeup Kit Essentials’ article to highlight brushes I recommend for beginners to professional makeup artists. Quality brushes provide a seamless finish that will stand the test of time. There’s an Amazon List at the end of the article featuring the brushes discussed. Here are my top 3 recommendations:
Morphe
Morphe is the most notorious of the brands in terms of brushes on a budget. Between complexion brushes to blending brushes, I always seem to revisit Morphe. I love purchasing individual brushes by Morphe, but I noticed over time their white bristle brushes do not hold shape & may shed after washing. The non-white bristle brushes are high quality & durable, so I still highly recommend Morphe. That’s why I have an endless array of their brushes & sets!
e.l.f. Cosmetics
e.l.f. Cosmetics is definitely underrated when it comes to brushes & brush sets! e.l.f. is the most affordable of the list yet provides the durability, blendability, & versatility I search for in a brush. In fact, I have about 5 of the same blush brush because I can use it in so many ways! I’ve only had to replace a few after several years of wear & tear on my behalf. Individual e.l.f. complexion & finishing brushes are the best performing out of their selection, which is why I repurchase the same brushes time & time again. I’ve only had to replace a few after several years of wear & tear on my behalf.
Real Techniques
Real Techniques offers a smaller selection of brushes, yet they’re among the best. I’ve seen countless makeup artists use them in their kits, & I personally love the versatility of them as well. I admit I reach for their complexion brushes mostly when doing makeup on other faces because they’re multifaceted in terms of application. Any brush can be used for more than one aspect of your makeup, & I find their complexion brushes are best to utilize for more than purpose or feature of the face.
