Beat on a Budget: The Best Brands

The new year brings new goals & aspirations. We won’t know what 2025 has in store, but we know a common resolution is saving money! That’s why I wanted to highlight the best affordable brands to try in 2025. There are several factors that went into the brands I selected including inclusivity, quality, & product selection. Here are the top three brands:

Juvia’s Place

Juvia’s Place is worth all the hype! I was first introduced to Juvia’s Place on YouTube watching reviews on their eyeshadow palettes. Their palettes are what started the craze of the brand & are still a staple product. The reason? The formulation is specifically for women of color, so every shade is incredibly pigmented. There’s truly an eyeshadow for any & all complexions! One palette I always reach for is The Warrior II Palette because it is so versatile as a makeup artist or simply for a natural glam.

Beyond eyeshadow palettes, Juvia’s Place complexion products are equally a staple for your collection. Plus, I only use the Kiss Clear Lash Couture Adhesive! It’s the only lash glue I swear by because it is so strong yet non-irritating.

NYX Cosmetics

NYX Cosmetics is still that girl for lip products. The Slim Lip Pencil has over 30 pigmented shades that blend easily for lip combos. There’s pinks to nudes to plums to browns & more. I have almost every shade of the Slim Lip Pencil, so I’m prepared for any lip combo. NYX also has over 30 shades of their infamous Butter Gloss Lip Gloss. The glosses are non-sticky & bring a sheer to medium coverage to the lips. I’ve repurchased these glosses time & time again for about 1o years because I love it so much! It’s a gloss that can be worn alone or layered on top of a lip combo.
