Be Our Valentine: Our Cutest Glam Picks

Valentine’s Day is all about reds & pinks to signify love. It’s a time to celebrate love within yourself, too! Whether you want to add a touch of color or go all out, there’s so many ways to incorporate reds & pinks. Here are the cutest ways to show off for Valentine’s Day:

Blush, Blush, Blush

One of the simplest ways to add a touch of pink or red tones to your look is blush. It can be subtle for a natural/soft glam or bold for a full glam. If you want a bold blush look, then layer a liquid or cream blush underneath a powder blush. A highly pigmented blush, such as Juvia’s Place, is great for either look because a little can go a long way for both the liquid or powder formulas. For fair complexions, such as myself, I suggest applying the liquid blush on the hands first before the face if you want a subtle blush look. 

Pink Under-Eye

A pink under-eye is one of my favorite ways to bring pink into my everyday glam. It definitely gives ’drama’ to any look you create. To achieve a pink under-eye, mix a cream blush with your concealer until you get the desired shade. Cream blush is better than liquid in this case because it’ll blend more seamlessly under the eyes. This technique does require scraping a bit of the cream blush in order to mix with the concealer. I recommend Colourpop’s cream blush because it will give the exact pink under-eye you desire without breaking the bank.

Lip Combos

A lip combo can transform your whole look! A swipe of color on the lips can create the difference of a ‘soft girl’ look or a powerful ‘bossy’ look. Want to have the cute, ‘soft girl era’ look? Apply a pinky gloss to a neutral lip combo. Want the powerful pout to rock your look? Wear a bright red lip combo for everyone to envy. One of my favorite pink lip combos is using a berry-toned lip pencil to line my lips followed by a neutral pink lipstick & gloss. For a bold red lip combo, I love a black or brown lip liner paired with a deep red lipstick & red-tinted gloss on top.
